Scientist Strain development & Fermentation (m/f)
These are the tasks we trust in you:
Support of several exciting projects within EFB and BIOMIN (e.g. enzyme projects)
Develop and engineer microbial strains, e.g. Bacillus sp. and Fungi, mainly for the production of proteins
Design and test expression tools for specific enzymes; optimize process conditions for fermentation
Carry out fermentation, up-scaling, and DSP of proteins in small scale
Cooperate close with our science teams in Germany and Austria
To leave real 'foodprints' with us you need the following skills:
A graduate (preferably PhD) scientist with project management experience
Knowhow in strain development (Bacillus and/or Fungi) and required molecular methods e.g. vector design, transformation protocols, knock-out, knock-in, screening, etc.
Experience in small scale fermentation, DSP and up-scaling
Extensive knowledge in the field of microbiology
Team spirit and passionate to drive success
