The primary personnel responsible for biological reagent preparations, purifications, and titrations within the production group. Production Scientists handle reagent preparation and optimization in order meet quality specifications of diagnostic kits.
These are the tasks we trust in you:
Manufacture liquid and dry components required for kits in order to meet the customer demand
Perform quality control checks on all aspects of manufacturing from raw materials to final product to meet production specification
Update and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and fill out documents according to ISO 9001 and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards to ensure product quality, traceability and function
Operate key pieces of manufacturing equipment as needed to maintain throughput
Perform and maintain inventory level checks on all key components to maintain inventory accuracy
Follow 6S (set, sort, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) principles to maintain an orderly and effective working environment
Collaborate with Research and Development (R&D) to successfully transfer new products from development to production
Conduct troubleshooting with potential production issues to resolve product issues and customer complaints
Order supplies as needed for laboratory personnel to ensure regular stock
Collaborate with peers on similar functions in an effort to cross train one another
Use best practice methods to continually improve processes and products
Attend regular production scheduling meetings in order to set and execute to meet needs for customer demand
Calibrate and maintain internal equipment as required by ISO 9001
To leave real 'foodprints' with us you need the following skills:
BS/MS in Chemical, Biological, or Food Sciences
1-3 years minimum experience working in a lab environment in the development or production of chemical or biological reagents.
Flexibility when priorities change
Ability to work in a group setting
Strong communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Work with bio hazardous material
Weights and measures experience

Your type of employment: 40 hours/week, full-time.
