Manufacturing Cost Analyst
The Manufacturing Cost Analyst will be responsible for:
Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
Analyzing data collected and recording results
Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost
Analyzing variances between actual vs standard costs and working with the production team to determine any necessary corrective actions
Assisting with setting of standard costs on a periodic basis
Making estimates of new and proposed product costs to support standard costs
Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
Maintaining Cost Accounting System
Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger
Coordinates physical inventories and monitors cycle count program
Reconciles finished goods inventories
Performs periodic inventory valuation according IFRS principles
Works well in a team to help support other accounting functions as needed, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, etc.
Evaluation of CAPEX expenditures
Support the annual budgeting process
Collaborate in the implementation of the CO- module and the manufacturing accounting process in SAP S4/HANA
Perform tests of newly implemented functions in SAP S4/HANA
Process and user support for SAP end users
Implementing a CAPEX controlling process based on SAP CO functionalities
Collaborate in the continuous development of SAP solutions in CO
The right Manufacturing Cost Analyst will have the following qualifications:
Minimum of 3 to 5 solid years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
Computer Literate – Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word
Experience with SAP a plus
Experience working with manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards
Excellent communication skills especially in English and intercultural competence
Excellent attention to detail
